Research expert on the characteristics and natural distribution according to ecological regions of 26 medicinal plant species listed in the Vietnam Red Book.
Within the framework of the project “Biodiversity Initiatives of Medicinal Genetic Resources for Forest-based Livelihoods of the Dao Ethnic Minority in Ba Vi, Hanoi” sponsored by the Embassy of Finland in Hanoi, Center for Agricultural Research & Ecological Studies (CARES) – Vietnam National University of Agriculture needs to recruit 02 experts to study the characteristics and natural distribution according to ecological regions of 26 medicinal plant species listed in the Vietnam Red Book based on indigenous knowledge with Specific content in the Terms of Reference is as follows:
1. Project objective
Develop and implement an Action Plan for the Conservation of Biodiversity of Genetic Resources for 26 medicinal plants listed in the Vietnam Red Book.
2. Content of work
- Fieldwork in Ba Vi National Park to collect information on medicinal plant species listed in the Vietnam Red Book;
- Organize discussions with local people on the characteristics and natural distribution according to ecological regions of 26 species of medicinal plants listed in the Vietnam Red Book;
- Researching information, collecting data and compiling reports.
3. Professional requirements
- Master’s degree or higher or working in one of the fields of agriculture, ecology, forestry, environment or related fields.
- Field experience and organizing group meetings and working with local people.
- Experience in participating in domestic and foreign projects and topics
4. Products: 01 report on the characteristics and natural distribution according to ecological regions of 26 medicinal plant species listed in the Vietnam Red Book.
5. Implementation time and cost
- Implementation time: 16 days, from November 6 to 21, 2021
- Cost: according to the project’s regulations.
