Abstract
This research assesses the situation of resource degradation and agricultural and forestry farming methods, thereby finding solutions to improve the efficiency of agricultural and forestry farming in the Central Highlands, contributing to the construction of a new countryside. Research methods include: collection of primary and secondary data; processing data collected by Excel and analyzing ANOVA; analyzing and assessing the situation of resource degradation, agricultural and forestry farming methods, the role of the agroforestry system and its suitability with the present Central Highlands. The research results show that the situation of resource degradation in the Central Highlands is becoming more and more serious recently and has a significant impact on agro-forestry production, including: land degradation, water degradation and biodiversity degradation. Besides, monoculture and agricultural Farming on forest land are making the production system in the Central Highlands face many challenges, especially in the current situation of resource degradation. In recent years, households in the Central Highlands have had positive changes in the structure of income sources, but these changes are still unclear, so it is necessary to restructure the agricultural and forestry farming system. In order to improve production efficiency, while maintaining and protecting resources, solutions to promote the development of agro-forestry are proposed. Through surveying and analyzing the effectiveness of a number of agro-forestry models, the research has realized the advantages of these models in improving incomes, increasing production efficiency, reducing risks for people and renovations ecological environment. Since then, the study has proposed a number of solutions to promote the development of agro-forestry in the Central Highlands, including: capacity building for people; access to loans; agricultural insurance; and control the input market.
