Responsible pesticide trade and uses in coffee sector in the Central Highlands of Vietnam

1. Description
CDC was contracted by GlobalCoffeePlatform (GCP) to conduct an inventory of pesticides retailing in Krong Nang district (Daklak province) and Di Linh district (Lam Dong province). The consultant was hired by CDC to design the inventory approach, sampling and data collection, data validation and analysis, report writing and recommendations for GCP next steps of interventions, and presentation to international donors and Vietnamese authorities.

2. Objectives

• Inventory of pesticides sold in Krong Nang and Di Linh
• Making a pesticide supply chain mapping.
• Selecting pesticide samples for analysis of active ingredients (label matching)
• Describing the application instructions per product to identify possibly misleading or wrong user information
• Disseminate the results to public and private Coffee Sector via a sharing workshop organized by GCP.
