GreenTech Contest – Initiatives, solutions, models to reduce and treat domestic solid waste nationwide hosted by the Center for Communication of Natural Resources and Environment under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to find feasible and highly effective solutions in the reduction, treatment, and management of treat domestic solid waste to replicate and improve the environment.
The content of the Contest includes initiatives, solutions, and models to reduce and treat domestic solid waste, divided into 03 categories:
- Category I – Initiatives and ideas to reduce and treat domestic solid waste;
- Category II – Technological solutions for solid waste treatment;
- Category III – Model of domestic solid waste management, reduction, and treatment with the participation of the community.
The Center for Agricultural Research and Ecological studies registered to compete with 210 other subjects from all over the country and won the second prize in Category II, with the solution “The system of domestic waste treatment (Compost tea) and growing household-scale vegetables/bonsai”.
The award ceremony was held on the morning of November 22, at the Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment.
